If we stay in our mothers’ wombs for nine months before coming into life, we do not grow as adults at the same speed our bodies formed during that period.

We transformed from a sperm to a clot, then to a chewed lump, and then our bones and tissues formed until we became a foetus. These stages have been scientifically proven in recent decades after the discovery of ultrasound.

But they were established long before that, more than fourteen hundred years ago, through the message of Islam from Allah (God, the creator of the universe).

Allah says: “Then We made the Nutfah (sperm-drop) into a clot (a piece of thick and clinging coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators.”

(Quran Translation; Surat Al-Mu’minun, Sign 14)

As creatures, we are limited in abilities and do not have control over everything. We need a great, self-sufficient Master capable of managing all creatures’ needs and guiding us in this life, not just relying on our limited and weak abilities. He -is glorified and exalted- does not need a spouse, child, or partner, as He is Allah, One and Indivisible.
